Our commitment to people development started in 2002 when Sime Darby Industrial Academy Sdn. Bhd. (then known as Tractors Malaysia Training and Development Centre) was established to cater for the training and development needs of internal staff and external customers. Sime Darby Industrial Academy (SDIA) is an invaluable asset to Sime Darby Industrial as the playground for technical and management skills programmes.

We are proud to be the pioneer in providing skills development programmes in industries such as Heavy Equipment, Oil & Gas, Marine & Construction. In addition to being the appointed HRDF service provider, SDIA is also ISO 9001:2015 certified. Since 2009, SDIA has been recognised and awarded as an Accredited Centre for CIDB, under Ministry of Works for offering skilled, technical and vocational education development programmes.

SDIA is also the appointed National Vocational Training Certificate Centre (SKM) by Skills Development Department (JPK) Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia. All JPK programmes run in Sime Darby Industrial Academy comply with the learning and practical modules as required by the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) and the certification system of the JPK as stipulated by the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia.
